Bayvarol Varroa Treatment

Bayvarol- Flumethrin- 20 strips (5 standard doses)

Bayvarol is a miticide that works over 6 to 8 weeks to treat for varroa mites in affected bee colonies. 4 plastic stips are placed in each brood chamber of the hive (or 2 strips in a nuc).  Bayvarol can be used with honey supers on the hive but any frames present during treatment cannot be harvested for comb honey as the chemical stays in the wax. It is not limited by temperature. Bayvarol should be used as one part of your Integrated Pest Management plan, and rotated with chemicals with other active ingredients (it cannot be rotated with Apistan).

Bayvarol is gentle on the bees when used according to the manufacturers instructions.

Bayvarol comes in a box containing 5 foil packets, each containing 4 strips (1 standard dose). Unopened foil packets should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. They are not for individual sale.
