Apivar Varroa Treatment

Apivar- Amitraz- 4 strips (2 standard doses)

Apivar is a miticide that works over over 6 to 10 weeks to treat for varroa mites in affected bee colonies. 2 strips are placed in each brood chamber (or 1 strip in a nuc). Apivar cannot be used with honey supers on, but honey supers can be placed directy after the end of the treament period. It is not limited by temperature. Apivar should be used as one part of your Integrated Pest Management plan, and rotated with chemicals with other active ingredients (it cannot be rotated with Apitraz). It cannot be used more than once per year.

Apivar is best used in early spring, or autumn after honey harvest.

Apivar comes in a foil packet containing 4 strips (2 standard doses). Contents must be used within 24 hours of opening, and an unused portions discarded.

Expiry of this stock is Feb 2027.
